ONLINE Good Friday Service
Friday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM , Pulaski Free Methodist Church Facebook page

We will have an immersive experience through a Tenebrae service. We encourage you to have communion elements on hand and 8 candles to follow along with the service.

Tenebrae means shadows, so our worship will include an experience of some of the shadows that Christ endured. Through our Bible readings we will recreate the emotional aspects of the passion story, rehearsing the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events leading up to and including Christ's death.

If you are unfamiliar, a Tenebrae service starts out in candlelight. There are as many candles as there are readings with one candle designed as the Christ candle (a total of 8 for our service).  After each reading, a candle is extinguished until only the Christ candle remains.

The Tenebrae experience is intentionally left unfinished, because the story isn't over until Easter Day.
